Free CMS WordPress Theme
This theme is ideal for corporate sites who want to use WordPress as a CMS. The theme can be configured to have a different banner for every post/page.
To use the theme as a cms, login into your WordPress admin panel and click on “settings” in the left hand navigation then “reading.” Select the static page you want to appear on the homepage.
Then navigate to that page and under “custom fields” add “banner” under name and for the “value” put the absolute link to the homepage’s banner such as, http://mysite.com/wp-content/themes/MortgageSaver/images/banner-home.jpg. In order for your banners to look correct you will have to create your banners the same size as mine.
You can set a unique banner for every post/page in the same manner as above.
To control other aspects of the theme go to “appearance”>>>MortgageSaver Theme Options. There you can control the number of posts to display on the home page, the length of those posts and the default banner to show on internal posts/pages.

Hi, nice theme.
One question: how do you manage to display the three cols under the banner? I see that the 3rd one is triggered by the widgets, but what about the first two?
Thanks
In my demo site the text column is populated from a static page. The next row is populated from posts and the last row is hard coded. I am not sure if the demo is setup exactly like this.
Thanks so much for the theme! This is great!
Was just hoping you could tell me why i’m not seeing any text in the banner areas on my end. Like in the area where it says “Welcome!” on the demo link.
Thanks!
@Jim – the welcome blurb was custom coding for the site.
